When it comes to charter flights, our Client Service Manager Stefanie Wahn is among our top employees. But at Pro Sky, consultants can always look into other business areas, receive further training and acquire new skills. This is why Stefanie has recently been assisting our VIP Department. She has been impressive here, demonstrating her know-how and excellent customer service skills. Since she wanted to get an even better feeling for the aircrafts though, she joined our most experienced VIP flight consultant in flying to the EBACE exhibition in Geneva.


"NOW I'M ABLE TO DESCRIBE EXACTLY HOW IT FEELS TO BE ON BOARD."

"I was mainly interested in getting a better idea of the jets' dimensions, especially when it comes to the luggage space," explains Stefanie. That meant personally viewing the jet models and comparing their cargo holds. "It makes a huge difference whether you simply know all the main facts or whether you've actually seen with your own eyes how big a cargo space is." In some private jets you can stand upright, others are more compact. "Even though I had this kind of information beforehand, I will be able to provide even better advice to customers. Now I'm able to describe exactly how it feels to be on board."

 

"IT'S IMPORTANT TO MEET PEOPLE IN PERSON."

The first impression was pretty overwhelming. "Aircraft manufacturers, insurance companies, engine manufacturers, airlines – EBACE is incredibly diverse. But this was exactly why I was attending the exhibition with Dietmar. I wanted to get to know the operators' points of contact in person," explains Stefanie, who had already had previous contact with many of them via email or telephone. "It's important to meet people in person. Being able to put a face to a name really makes a difference." The first day of the exhibition was all about networking. "We toured lots of jets and I had the opportunity to talk with many of the exhibitors. I already knew several of the suppliers and providers, but also made many new contacts."

 

"THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW TO LEARN."

"Dietmar introduced me to many of his existing contacts so I could benefit a lot from his network," says Stefanie. More importantly, Dietmar Herre was able to show her which jets might be particularly important in the future, and which ones were already hugely popular due to their layout. "There's always something new to learn," according to Stefanie. "Dietmar was able to answer all my questions." The two are also a great team in other respects. Steffi regularly deputises for her colleagues in the private jet sector, prepares new offers and manages projects initiated by Dietmar Herre. "Steffi is very committed to the work here," is how the experienced consultant praises his young colleague. "When I hand over a project to Steffi, I can be sure that everything will work out."

 

WOULD YOU COME BACK TO EBACE? DEFINITELY!

What is noticeable is that the two of them talk to each other as equals. Stefanie is well prepared, and Dietmar Herre is keen to share his experience. "Steffi is doing an excellent job," he says later. "But there's still plenty I can learn from Dietmar," claims Steffi. They are usually of the same opinion, talking shop about the LearJet60 or the Challenger 604. The agenda is packed and the atmosphere professional. But in the quieter moments, you can see that they not only have great respect for each other but that they also get along really well on a personal level. Here the working chemistry is right, so everyone enjoys doing their tasks. "And I think that's something our customers notice and value," Steffi claims. Would she come back to EBACE? "Definitely," she answers. "It brings together the entire industry in one place and is therefore a great opportunity to meet everyone and discuss ideas."
