Interview with PRO SKY team: Armin Truger, CEO, and Patrick Müller, Senior Software Engineer

In today’s rapidly evolving technological and geopolitical landscapes, client needs are changing faster than ever before. As a result, business models and services must be built around flexibility and empowerment, while still delivering reliable guidance in an environment where the overwhelming amount of information often leaves clients feeling lost. This and much more was addressed during our interview with BlachReport.

What the Coverage Is About

The interview dives deep into PRO SKY’s evolution from a traditional flight charter specialist into what we describe as a “Platform with Service” — a model that combines digital tools with hands-on, personal support. BlachReport gave us the space to talk openly about the challenges event organizers face today: participants flying in from dozens of countries, tight budgets, growing sustainability pressures, and the ever-present risk of last-minute disruptions like strikes or cancellations.

It’s a conversation we’re proud of — not just because of the visibility it brings, but because it reflects real experience and the result of tight relationships with our clients.

The Key Themes

A few topics stood out in the interview that we think resonate strongly with anyone managing travel for large-scale events:

Platform meets personal service

“The platform creates transparency, speed and control. Beyond that, however, emotional factors also play a role.”

Our platform gives event planners real-time access to flight options, capacity data, costs, and even CO figures — all in one place, available 24/7. But we were clear with BlachReport: this was never about replacing people. It’s about freeing up our teams to focus on tasks that are too atypical for automation (which, for many clients, are the reason why they return to PRO SKY for their next project).

Online Platform for Attendees Travelling Individually

“Participants enjoy maximum flexibility, whilst event planners retain full control over budgets and processes.”

Armin explained how this tool flips the traditional booking process on its head. Event planners set the parameters — budgets, arrival windows, policy rules — and attendees book independently within those guardrails. In many projects, over 70% of participants complete their booking without needing any additional support. That’s a meaningful shift.

Handling disruption at scale

“I actually believe that personal support is becoming more important today than it used to be.”

We recently shared how the human factor behind PRO SKY service was decisive during real-world crisis in two different occasions this year. You can read about the behind-the-scenes of repatriation flights or how we ensured that 2,000 attendees and their luggage arrived on time for an event during Lufthansa strikes.

Trust in a self-service world

“Customers particularly value the combination of independence and a personal point of contact.”

Patrick made a point that we think is particularly timely: as more processes become automated, the value of knowing there’s a real team behind the platform actually increases. Clients want independence — but they also want to know that someone who knows their project is ready to act the moment something goes wrong.

Why This Coverage Matters to Us

We believe the future of event travel is built on better data, smarter tools, and stronger partnerships. This interview is a chance to share that vision with a wider audience. To explore each topic in greater depth through real-life examples and testimonials, read the full interview on BlachReport.
