Pro Sky continues its involvement with sport by supporting RunArm in organising an international running competition on 3rd October in Yerevan. This first edition aims to promote sport, encourage eco-citizenship and foster tourism in Armenia. Exactly in line with what Pro Sky is trying to achieve: giving tips to event professionals regarding new venues to organise events for instance.
Every year, Pro Sky invites its customers to visit new destinations and in 2014 Armenia was one of the selected countries. It was also a chance for us to gain awareness of the running project organised by RunArm and established by the Ministry of Sport, the Mayor of Yerevan, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia and the Armenian Athletic Federation. The leader of this event is Robert Emmiyan, President of the Armenian Athletic Federation and a former athlete who still holds the long jump record in Europe (8.86 m).
The challenge is huge, since it will be the first time such a competition takes place on Armenian soil. Nevertheless, we are certain that it will live up to all expectations. Indeed, more than 2,500 people have already signed up to attend the race just one month after official registration opened. VIPs will also be present: the football World Cup champion Youri Djorkaeff and senior representatives of various international sports federations are expected to attend. They will fly from Europe via the Airline Tickets For Group services from Pro Sky.
The start and finish line for all races is at Republic Square in Yerevan.
- Showpiece event: International Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- International Half Marathon Relay
- 5 km
